We are pleased to announce that Clive and Sylvia Richards have donated an extremely generous £70,000 towards the fitting out of our new building by the tennis courts. Many thanks of course to all those parents who have also donated towards the cost of providing the new building with state of the art facilities, we are most grateful for your continued support of the School. As well as providing much needed classrooms, the new building will act as a centre for developing business innovation and entrepreneurship, further improving our already excellent careers advice and guidance, for which we have recently been awarded the ‘Quality Careers Standard’ – the national quality mark for careers education, information, advice and guidance.
Mr Richards is a successful entrepreneur and private venture capitalist who, along with his wife, established the Clive and Sylvia Richards Charity in 1986, which specialises in supporting educational establishments. His services to charity were recognised in 2000, when he was awarded an OBE, and we are indebted to the Charity as the main benefactor of the Rich’s Sports Pavilion, and the recently refurbished science laboratories.
Full details about the Richian 2020 Campaign, through which we continue to raise funds for the School’s development, are available here.
