The Science and Technology Committee are currently calling
for evidence to inform their research on screen use and social media. The 9
question survey is intended to examine the use of screens and social media and
has been sent to us by the UK Parliament Education team. The results of the optional
survey which is on student desktops this week only, will be collated and sent
to the Select Committee. The opportunity to actively help shape government
policy is part of the school’s ongoing commitment to engage our students in the
democratic process as part of our application to become a Gold Level Parliament
Ambassador school. Further information about the Science and Technology
Committee and their research can be found here https://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/commons-select/science-and-technology-committee/inquiries/parliament-2017/impact-of-social-media-young-people-17-19/.
