We have just received fantastic news that Ed H in Year 10 has been accepted onto the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Mentoring Scheme at a level usually only offered to students in the Sixth Form. The scheme is run by the UKMT to support the most able mathematicians across the country. Ed has been accepted onto the Scheme at one of the highest levels, Neumann, which is usually reserved for Key Stage 5 students following outstanding achievement in the Senior Maths Challenge. Ed will have monthly sessions with his UKMT mentor and will work on problem-solving skills that will both enrich and challenge him. Meanwhile Ed still enjoys coming to the Maths Challenge club that runs in school every Monday lunchtime.
