Year 4 and 5 Pupils Enjoy Mentoring Session

Year 4 and 5 Pupils Enjoy Mentoring Session

Published Thursday 16 January 2025 by SJV

This week we hosted our first Shaping Futures event with a new group of Year 4 and 5 pupils, who enjoyed meeting their Year 12 mentors for the first time and taking part in a range of icebreaker activities. A particular favourite was the challenge to build the tallest tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti! Later in the session, pupils worked through KS2 Maths and English resources with the support of their mentors using the Atom Learning platform.

More information about our Widening Access initiatives and access to free 11+ familiarisation resources for eligible pupils is available at www.strschool.co.uk/admissions/wideningaccess.

Gloucestershire primary schools interested in finding out more about the Shaping Futures programme 2024-2025 are welcome to contact our Pupil Premium and Widening Access Lead, Ellen Holt on [email protected].
